I've been with St. Clair village for 1 year and 4 months. I really liked it here and try my best to be a good tentant but was unfortunately to get loud neighbors 2 times in a row. The staff is very nice and always on top of maintenance if anything breaks down. I moved here to get away from some neighbors that smoked because me and members of my household have asthma and can't stand the smell... I even asked before signing the lease if smoking was allowed of any kind...It really bothers me that I recieved a complaint for a weed smell when I don't smoke at all and no one in my household does either. I get that there is certain procedures to follow but there should be a better way then automatically sending someone a letter in the mail saying they are in violation of the lease based off 1 complaint. I don't mind inspections anytime.

I will say, I still live here and until my place flooded; everything was fine. I hope they do right by me because I’m a great renter and I take good care of my place. I will do a follow up to let you know how long it takes for them to fix the damage. So far it’s been over a month.

I'm excited the staff says I'm number # 28 on the lists to get an apartment for my wife and I. I work for a transportation company. I have two customers. I take them to dialysis. I look forward to being in this apartment location.

Before moving here We read some of the reviews and were terrified about the commitment! Never take all bad reviews to heart! Try to experience the places for yourself. We DON’T have one bad thing to say about it. Our place is a 3BR townhouse. It’s spacious and We love that!

Amie, property manager is amazing and very accommodating. There were a couple things upon moving in that required attention; Toilet running and a broken towel rack. Toilet was fixed during walk through and towel rack was fixed after work order was submitted.

We feel like you have to be diligent about what has to be done to your place. If you did a walk through in the beginning and it wasn’t fixed, it’s up to you to see that management will see it through šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø!

We just want to thank management & maintenance for making our move a positive experience. Moving is already a whole event, we didn’t want any issues and it was a smooth transition. šŸ‘šŸ½šŸ˜Š

This is by far the worst place I’ve ever lived. Upon moving in I had a clogged sink, the toilet stool runs non stop, the oven didn’t work, and an eye on top of the stove didn’t work and still doesn’t work. They do not check the units when people move out. I seen a roach in the unit, which scared the hell out of me. I’m paying $1600 a month for what? The unit is not updated. The carpet is old and not to mention the laundry room on site is filthy. I wouldn’t wash a dog towel in the laundry room. My heating bill has went up tremendously because of the old heating unit inside the apartment. The heats runs non stop and they don’t believe in accommodating you at all. If I would have seen the unit before paying a non refundable deposit there’s no way I would have moved in. They get you by claiming there’s no unit available to show. Yeah ok. The pictures online is totally different from what you get. I’ve been here since November 21st and I’ve had to call maintenance over 10 times for the same stuff. The toilet is still running til this day. I wouldn’t recommend no one to move here. I can’t wait until my lease is up. I would rather move into a hotel before I renew anything at this property. The housing is ran like a low income community meaning they don’t care about the units just want to collect a check. Crazy right. They are robbing people. DO NOT RENT HERE!

I lived here for a year and my apartment was incredibly drafty. During the winter I tried my best to seal the windows and doors from the outside yet you could feel the air moving around as if the window was wide open. The amount of damage and overall quality of this location is made living here a horrible experience. I would have paid through the nose to heat or cool my apartment if I used the the given thermostat. Nearly $1,000 to live in such a run down place is theft.

Rent rates are very high for the units. Walls are very thin, and you can hear everything going on at your neighbors house. Maintenance isn't a rush unless it's an emergency. It seems most tenants don't stay long. I was there for a year, and in that time, five tenants near me moved out.

Supremely average experience so far. The apartments and grounds are nice, so are the facilities. Community is peaceful and no issues with neighbors. Rent is reasonable. Parking is HORRENDOUS! Definitely needs more parking spaces/bigger lots. It's almost impossible to have guests over because the guest spots are always full with residents since you only get one spot per apartment and many apartments have 2 people.

People in leasing are polite enough but communication needs to be improved. Took me a month to get a payment issue solved when their auto pay didn't take after I set it up correctly and called/emailed multiple times to more than one person. (Auto pay didn't take this month either so I'm just going to disable it). We've also had water/maintenance issues a few times in my building; first time they taped a note to the door, second time a note wasn't placed until the next day and it took THREE DAYS to get the issue solved. An email would've been nice. The 2nd time I had to hear there was an issue from the guy outside working on the water before we heard it from the leasing office. A few other maintenance issues have taken longer than desired to be fixed, or took a few attempts at fixing before being fixed. Overall it hasn't been my worst apartment experience but definitely not my best.
