This was the worst place I have ever lived, and I am so thankful we no longer live here. If you want roaches, flooding, subpar maintenance, even worse management.. this is the place for you! I complained multiple times about roaches and management wouldn’t return any forms of communication for over 6 weeks until I threatened to not pay the water bill, THEN she finally contacted me with the nastiest attitude. I have never been spoken to like that in my life and for a property manager to speak that way to a tenant, she should have been fired a while ago. There’s always garbage everywhere, broken glass, used condoms on the ground. You name it. We requested mold to be removed from our unit and it never was. They don’t winterize empty units so if you don’t have neighbors, you’re gonna pay for it during the winter. Our old neighbors unit (unit 21) needs to be to torn down it is SO BAD inside with infestation, left untouched for months after they moved out so there was dog feces and urine, old food, etc. it was never winterized and a pipe burst which flooded our unit. We lost thousands of dollars in personal property. The property manager told us we have no right to ask her who she had contacted to shut the water off, when I just wanted to know which companies I could try calling on my own to help out. She also called the maintenance man while he was in our unit and told him to leave. Nobody on the property knew the valve shut off was IN OUR UNIT and the entirety of the flood could have been avoided. Owners knew about the flooding and still wouldn’t allow ANYONE to come in and start work for over a week after it happened letting multiple units (at least 15) sitting with water or wet carpets in their units. Our unit (22) and our neighboring unit (21) were condemned because of how bad the conditions were. Our air quality was a hairline below toxic - and this was 3 weeks after the flooding. They had exposed mold in our basement and management was not happy about us sending in maintenance requests to have it taken care of. Even deleting some of our service requests. My family and I were experiencing multiple health issues and decided we had to break lease or continue to live there and risk our lives. Upon legally breaking lease, they still charged us our last months rent AND carpet cleaning charges for carpet that wasn’t even in the unit anymore due to the flooding that could have been prevented. They also told us that they didn’t want us in the unit after March 1 but still charged us 2,110 for rent and bogus cleaning. Oh and a huge water bill because of the multiple floods that happened. We moved out end of February and the unit still hasn’t been touched. We also received a call from them asking us to remove the complaint against them before we even got our security deposit back. They tried to force us to take another unit but wouldn’t tell us which one for 2 weeks, and when my husband showed up property management argued with him and wouldn’t let him in (she had booked a showing at the same time for a prospective tenant). 98% of the reviews you’re seeing for this company are its parent company employees in India. Please look at their names and their review history- none of them are in America. Kristin savage also left a glowing comment and is a high up in the parent company, who doesn’t even live there. This place is a SCAM and I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. We waited 2.5 months to get our measly security deposit back and I’m just glad to be done with this trash place and trash management FOREVER. Here’s just a few picture memories of our short time in hell. This review barely scratches the surface of how bad it was here. Pictured is mold they argued with us that 1. Didn’t exist, and 2. Had been removed, a roach trap 2 hours after being put down, food that was a gamble every morning what I would find covering our backyard area, and the flooding my husband had to extract himself, an entire week before owners would allow anyone in to do work.

Staying at this rental property was a true delight. It's spacious, well-furnished, and located in a peaceful area. The property manager was attentive, and any issues were promptly resolved. The neighborhood is lovely and close to amenities. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in DeKalb.

Property management staff is friendly and helpful. Coco is quick With response. Moses is excellent. He’s great at repair work. He’s very impressive. Great work that they all provide to make sure your place is comfortable And perfect.

The management and maintenance staff are attentive to tenant's needs and quickly address any and all concerns. My unit in particular, required a few minor repairs and management continues to do everything within their power to expeditiously get my unit fully prepared to my liking. The neighbors are friendly, the community is safe, and the schools are great. All of my family and friends that come to visit are very impressed by my 5 bedroom, 2 full bathroom townhome. Because of the massive 3 floor layout, everyone joking calls our charming townhome a "mini mansion!" I can see myself renting from Barrington Plaza Realty for the next few years to come.

I’m a new tenant. And the process working with Sean, Francis, Xavier and Mick went very smoothly. They were very attentive. Answered mine and my wifes many questions respectfully and fully. The property manager as well is very kind and great and attentive. Everything they said and told us was followed thorough and very professional. Thanks again Guys.

The maintenance staff was wonderful. Luis especially was fantastic but trying to contact the office or anybody else at BPR was very difficult. Our 5 bedroom apartment flooded due to heavy rain the day we moved in. They removed all trim and carpeting in the basement level (3 bedrooms/1 bath) and didn't replace the carpet for over 3 months. They constantly let structural engineers and carpet Vac guys into our apartment with no notice. We also had issues with the heat and a/c during our year there. Luis gave us his number and he was on top of it but nobody else there would even return a phone call.
