i ditto all the reviews, i have hopped from 2 other realty companies and then landed my third Chicago apartment with J Caren, and i have nothing but fantastic things to say! i ADORED my 1 bedroom apartment and the only reason i’m not renewing my lease is that my partner and i are moving in together. the apartment is extremely well kept, and cleaned upon move as promised. i didn’t have a dishwasher but loved my apartment so much i was able to look past it and still enjoy my tenancy. if not for my move with my partner, i would have lived at this apartment for the foreseeable future. their staff was extremely helpful & attentive to my needs and they had an amazing building engineer who was always on top of repairs. highly recommend working with this agency!!

After many terrible city landlords, I am very happy with J. Caren Real Estate. They have an actual office with someone available M-F. They always answer the phone and are reasonable and timely with maintenance requests. They seem to care about the building and the tenants satisfaction. I would definitely recommend renting from this agency.

I lived in their W Rascher building for over a year. I absolutely loved it. I had plenty of storage, it was always kept very clean, always responsive to any needs. I paid for the parking which was very worth it especially since there are stairs near the parking. Anytime i called the office, I was always treated with respect. The app to pay rent was very easy to use. Only thing I would say could improve the living experience is to have a coin machine in the basement so we can use the coin operated washer/dryers easily.

I have lived at their Cambridge location for 2 years now and absolutely love my one bedroom here. It was fully updated before I moved in with great finishes and what I believe to be the best deal around especially for the size and location. Susan in the management office has been amazing to work with and so helpful if anything has come up regarding maintenance (very few times I’ve needed anything, basically some lightbulb changes) or anything regarding my lease as well.

This is the only apartment where it felt most like home! It is well kept up and they take really good care of their tenants. If I could give them more than 5-stars I absolutely would.

We’ve lived in their Briar Pl property for 7 years in the same apartment and Caren Real Estate has always been a great landlord. The apartment has been updated and is really nice for the price. Speaking of price, we believe we have one of the best deals in Lakeview East. We have looked around and you really can’t beat it. They are responsive and reasonable when it comes to maintenance and maintain the property very well. I would recommend living in one of their properties to anyone.
