I originally gave this property a 5 star review because Tut and Tut was GREAT! Almost two years ago they switched property management and now Storyboard Living is managing the property. It has been HELL ON WHEELS ever since. The property is nice but the upkeep and maintenance is NOT the same as it was 6 years ago.

It took a year and a half to get the light fixed that lights up the parking lot near my building. We (other tenants in the building) were complaining and going back and forth with them. This would have NEVER happened under Tut and Tut!

Central Air stop blowing out the vents in my second bedroom during the HOT SUMMER and I’m still waiting on that work order to be completed AFTER multiple complaints. Oh I’m sorry a maintenance guy came out a week ago out the blue but I work from home and was virtually training a class in the room. Why wouldn’t you call ahead and schedule a best time of course I’ve heard nothing. So needless to say I burned up in that room majority of the summer. This would have NEVER happened under Tut and Tut!

My current issue is my steps leading up to my apartment were loose 3 months ago and as of today have now come apart. I have reported this on multiple occasions and just like with my issue with the hair in the room the open work order was closed stating it had been fixed and when I saw the email I advised it had not been fixed. A maintenance guy came about 2 weeks ago and was banging on the steps while I was training a class. I go to the door and say “ oh you fixing the steps” his reply “um something like that” Well after work my husband and I figured out what that statement meant because what he did was put a cheap nail in the steps and it has eventually came up. Maybe because two black families live upstairs they don’t care about us falling. I don’t know BUT I do know This would have NEVER happened under Tut and Tut! I have sent pictures TODAY and talked to Cindy who didn’t sound like she was going to make this an urgent request and we are 2 days from winter. The pictures are what my daughter texted me at 6am show us our steps that she almost fell in as she was walking up to drop something off. SMH

So let’s be CLEAR my previous review was for Tut and Tut. I would NEVER recommend anyone to Storyboard Living. I don’t want to hear about how short staff you are with maintenance when housing has increased to more than 50% of most families income. You have increased rent and have done NOTHING to upgrade this apartment and unfortunately our lawmakers allow them to get away with it. I have other issues but google review doesn’t have room for it lol.

I was so excited to move into this property, and at first, it seemed like the perfect place to call home. However, since the property management switched, things have gone downhill. It’s clear they can’t seem to keep a property manager, and currently, they don’t even have one in place. You can tell the property is being neglected as a result.

I have been dealing with serious flooding issues in my master bathroom every time it rains since April 2024, and despite numerous complaints, the problem remains unresolved. There have been no permanent fixes, and the flooding continues to damage both my bathroom and the property.

For $1,400+ in rent, I expect a much higher standard of living, and frankly, this property is not worth the cost. The lack of management and failure to address basic issues like this flooding is completely unacceptable.

I will gladly remove this review once my flooding issue is properly resolved, but until then, I cannot recommend this property to others.

Every time there is an issue that is brought up, we just get told a solution that is never going to happen. Basically just lying about getting someone to fix anything knowing full well no one is actually going to show up. I’ve got a leaky ceiling, carpet stains from a previous tenant, a ceiling fan that doesn’t work and moldy carpet from water leaks.

Writing this to share my experience with Nelly.. She has been a great help!! She help my moving smoothly. She always answers my questions and she makes it sure that she addressed my concerns. She even calls me back when she needs to for the update. I am very thankful to you. My stay in storyboard has been amazing so far because of these people. Thanks!

Just want to say first that Nelly is awesome, and this isn’t necessarily meant to dog on the maintenance team but first I’ll say that it seems like it’s almost impossible to get ahold of someone to fix things and there has been a recurring issue of items being “fixed/completed” when it has not in fact been completed. I have furniture which has now received significant water damage due to the front (main door) leaking water at a significant rate when it rains. The photos below are taken from a video which was recorded during a rainstorm showing water pouring into my house after my door had been worked on and stamped good-to-go not once, but twice. The remaining photo show the multiple work orders submitted for the same issues, note that they don’t include the times that emergency maintenance was called. Again I don’t say this to dog on the 2 maintenance guys, they’re very courteous and I know they’re swamped with AC maintenance requests right now but if they can’t get to things in a timely manner then someone needs to bring in more help or prospective tenants need to be prepared to buy repair new furniture because I doubt they’re going to reconcile the issue with the furniture.

This company has been amazing with me so far. I especially want to give a huge shout out to Nelly Rocha for being so helpful, and answering every question, and concern I had. She was very informative, and very knowledgeable, along with supportive through out my situation. I’m so excited to be moving in my new place at Storyboard on main. Beautiful apartment, and can’t wait to move in !! Thank you again Nelly ! And thank you again for all the hard work. Along with making your new tenants feel welcomed.
