Moved here recently from out of town and didn’t get a chance to see my apartment. It wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked, and Shawanna was able to put me in a hotel free of charge for my first night. I was then put into a different unit which had been cleaned out the day of, just for me. I see why the other reviews exist, but I also see changes being made in real time. My personal experience here has been great, and I hope things remain as good as they have been. (4/5)

Things have really started to turn around. Shawanna has put together a great maintenance crew and everything that was falling through the cracks was fixed as soon as I brought it up. The property is still rough, but good management means it’s improved very quickly. Was expecting to be more critical, but I was pleasantly surprised by the dramatic change in response time and repair speed.

This is one of the absolute worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in being a child or an adult, I have reason to believe that the maintenance men are thiefs and untrustworthy, they go around taking people stuff and throwing it in the trash without asking I have them admitting to that at least they stole stuff and then when I went and talked to the apartment manager she just kind of shook her head and looked at me like I was stupid. And the lease it says the apartment complex will take care of any pest control I told them that I need my apartment serviced The lady again looked at me shook her head and was dumbfounded looking and was like oh well they'll come you know sometime next week or the following week and I said I need my apartment serviced like now.. Nothing was done yet. All of the apartments are fested with bugs The buildings are I guess they're in the walls. I know a few people that live here that's lived here for 3 or 4 years moved several different apartments and say that every apartment has been bug infested

Since moving in, I have encountered numerous issues with the property, including multiple water leaks that went untreated for months, Mold causing me to get sick due to my autoimmune disease, a refrigerator that would not seal causing my food and thousands of dollars in medical supplies to go bad. I also still do not have a mailbox key to receive my mail. Despite multiple requests for repairs and maintenance, the employees tasked with fixing these issues failed to due so. My maintenance tickets have been closed out without being resolved. After fighting for months to have these issues addressed I was finally moved into a new unit. I thought it was starting to get better, but now the complex as a whole has gotten much worse. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing and causing me to have no place to put my trash, my neighbors are throwing trash from their balconies and playing loud music into the early morning hours. The grass has not been cut in over a month, the pool that I pay to have as an amenity, is still not open, the “fitness center” you advertise and that I expected to be able to use, does not exist.

I have experienced disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from the management team. Their lack of communication, failure to address concerns, and overall hostility towards tenants has created a toxic living situation that is negatively impacting my well-being. Your property manager of Terra Lakes, Shawanna Greene verbally attacked me and forced me to pick up other residents trash or she threatened to evict me. Every dumpster on the property was overflowing and I placed a small box next to the dumpster, which I know is not ideal but where else would the trash go? A simple talking to and asking me WHY I placed a box there would have been completely acceptable but she chose to verbally assault me instead. Her job is to keep the complex decent, safe, and sanitary and she has failed at all three of those. I take pride in my living space because I PAY TO LIVE HERE. In no way would I ever want to make this place worse than it already is.
DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CLEAN, FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.

Shawanna was extremely thorough. I signed my lease in the midst of the company changing managers and this left me in a state of confusion. Shawanna not only heard my concerns but she sympathized with them and addressed them immediately. She made accommodations for all of the inconveniences and brought to light all that she was correcting with gave me plenty satisfaction. Victor brought to light lots of concerns and made sure everything was clarified and understandable. He had the honor of giving me my apartment keys. 🤎

I just received my keys to my apartment and I want to thank Victor for making this process so easy and helpful for me. I really appreciate him going above and beyond for me. It's always nice to know that the team here at Terra Lake Apartments are dedicated to making each potential tenant feel important and welcomed. Victor definitely made my experience wonderful. I absolutely love the way this place has turned around from my first visit! I had the pleasure of meeting the new assistant manager Sam as she took me on a tour and showed me around explaining the process of getting my new home. I loved the way she and Melissa made sure I was taken care of and actually made me feel like they had known me for years! I can’t get over how inviting they both made me feel, you don’t get that much in this industry anymore. I definitely recommend if you’re interested in renting to ask for Sam or Melissa,not only will they make you feel like family they will get you exactly what you’re looking for. Thank you ladies for all your help and thank you for actually making me feel WELCOMED

Victor and Shajuana at this location are amazing! I just went on a walk-in apartment tour at this location. Victor dropped everything he was doing took me to this apartment tour. He was so kind and helpful. The employees live on the property. So he told me how he set up his apartment, which helped me to envision me living there. Victor made my experience here 100% better then I expected and made this property my current top choice of where to live.

Shajuana is new management and she is bubbly and fun. I truly feel like this team would take care of just about anything you needed.
