Utterly cute and quaint. Makes me want to move here and stroll around downtown in the evenings and the weekends. Love the fresh mountain air at this altitude! Nearby Mojave, California is a hotspot for wind power as well.

Town with lots of history starting in the mid 1800’s. 3 nice (free) museums. Lots of good options for food. We hiked most of the way to Tehachapi peak ( 1200 ft gain ) for a great 3 hr hike with lots of views.
