I try my best to create good will and try not to write poor reviews. Rather, I just don't do more business with bad people. However, in the case of JD Management, I think I would be doing the world more harm than good if I did not share what awful service and terrible attitude is provided by these folks. As soon as they received the management contract for the building, the "full service" which was included became nearly no service - we couldn't even get the recycling taken out of the office to the locked garbage containers, much less have the kitchen tidied. Was it the fact that it took them nearly a week to get an exterminator into our mouse infested office? The collapsed ceiling tile resulting from a never fixed leak in the roof? The HVAC that NEVER functioned properly during the entire lease? Perhaps I am just angry that more than a month after a properly noticed exit, I have not received my >$5,000 deposit back. If I could award zero stars, I would. Whether a building owner or renter, pass go, collect $250, and never stop where they advertise management services!

I thought I should leave a review because of my positive experience. JD Management is an excellent rental company. Their properties are well-maintained and the staff is responsive and goes out of their way to ensure tenants are satisfied. Any maintenance issues or requests were addressed promptly and with a friendly attitude. My experience renting from JD Management has been simple, smooth and hassle-free. Poor communication.
- Did not answer one of my emails asking about where the security deposit would be sent to after multiple follow ups.
- Did not communicate to me a decision made by them and another tenant to extend the lease (even though I was still on the lease) until I reached out.

I had a great experience renting from J D Management. I rented from them in Berkeley as student and was very happy with their operations. They were extremely responsive with communication, and they were always easy to reach. The whole process from application to the lease signing were smooth and easy! Recommended!

The property manager is unresponsive to emails or voicemails. Multiple maintenance requests and/or complaints need to be submitted to receive a response. Maintenance told me, they had to “fight” the property manager for me to assist with my request. Look elsewhere to rent, if you can afford to.
