This is the worst investment service I’ve ever used. My balance after multiple years was -10% while most REIT’s during the same timeframe were slightly positive. Mix that with high fees and withdrawal penalties and it’s just an awful service all around. On top of all that, my redemption to close out the account took 6 weeks because they only process them quarterly and kept having issues with my bank account (magically the bank I had linked never had issues depositing money šŸ¤”). STAY FAR AWAY from this place! Invest your money in ETFs and other funds that perform well, don’t penalize you for withdrawing, and can be sold right away.

Every time I check the account I lose money. The worst investment I’ve ever been involved in. No great returns and you’re locked in for 5years and not sure how long it will take to cash in my IPO stock. I would not invest in this platform again as the returns and illiquidity doesn’t make good sense to me. I invested $4,200 in Jan 2019 and to date 11/2024 $900 in returns. Basically just a tad bit better than a generic savings account. Would not recommend.

DON'T INVEST HERE, SERIOUSLY! I made $5,000 in investments in Fundrise, and after one year, I now have $4,000. After finding out that I have to pay $125 yearly for a custodial fee, I looked to withdraw my funds. I learned that it's $100 per accounts to liquidate, and withdraw your funds. Then, they don't return your funds until the end of the quarter. They catch you with the fine print.

Cutting edge fintech platform
that meets its mission of democratizing private equity real estate investing. They are transparent and keep users in the loop for all their decision making. The app UI is elegant and detailed. Their podcast is curious and provocative. I like the direction the company is going and believe in their mission.

Before investing with Fundraise, it's important to understand that real estate is an illiquid asset and requires a long-term commitment. Keep in mind that their focus is on commercial properties, such as large multifamily developments, which are fundamentally different from residential real estate investments. P.s. commercial real estate hasn't done well this last couple years despite how hot the real estate market in some areas of the country.

Horrible platform, incredibly difficult to withdraw account balances. I had to wait months to liquidate/redeem my shares. You have to submit a request, after all the haste they kept my dividends in my account. I dont think I will be able to get it back, id look anywhere else to grow your money.

I have been investing in fundrise for four years. Every week I got paid I put between 50 and $100 into different funds over four years. And I sent an email asking what would it take if I had to take all my money out at once from all all the funds I need some of the funds you couldn’t take money out I was What the process would be. Two days later I went to put money in to the fund and there was a freeze on the account come to find out they liquidated my entire account my four years worth of work and investing without my permission without filling out any paperwork which is required and when I asked why did you do that they said you asked me to I showed them the email the copy were I was just asking cause I wasn’t going to I just needed to know in the future if something would happen they gave me my money back over six months and I kept it to put it all back in and now they said since I liquidated my account I can never be a customer and invest in them again. I was brokenhearted with so much work building that portfolio for them to do that to me I beg them to stop it to stop it and they said it’s too late and that was just a day after they started liquidating it I believe that they got tired of me asking questions About the different funds and like where they are under the different projects I was a nuisance. If you read you will see that if you liquidate you have to fill out all these forms and sign it I didn’t do any of that they just did it on their own which is against their policy I I don’t recommend fun whatsoever they don’t even have a phone a phone number you can talk to them they just have a contact form and you have to wait for them to email you that’s it don’t answer your emails they probably answered one in 15 to 30 emails that I sent stay away from this company you’ll get hurt like they hurt me. by the way they have the absolute worst customer service in the world they have no phone number that you could call them on you have to fill out a contact for white 3 to 5 days they say one to 3 but I kept track and then out of return my emails out of 20 of them I finally got wood months later and they acted like nothing had happened like it would just disappear the person that did this her name is Molly Sorell, what she made the mistake of liquidated my account when I did not ask her to which you have to fill out a form not that you have to sign it and you get penalised none of that happened I didn’t fill out any forms I didn’t get penalised they just didn’t want me because I asked too many questions about projects that’s why they got rid me. I begged them to open up by unfreeze my account so that I can put my money back in because I put four years into this Hours upon Hours I would probably say over 100 or 200 hours and building up my funds every week I worked on it And they stole that from me this company is evil. Molly who acted like my friend faked it and stab me in the back and I tell you what I cried for days cause it hurt by putting it all that hard work I couldn’t believe the company would do that and they wouldn’t let me talk to a supervisor they kept me at the lowest rake which is the customer service Molly. I recommend anybody that’s had this issue contact legal help with the Better Business Bureau because they will continue to do this to people

If you are an individual investor I would seek investment alternatives other than Fundrise! Of all my investments this was the worst ever over a span of about two plus years. How can you be down $300 in a housing market that has been red-hot? You are better off keeping your money in a checking account with 0.15% APY in fact I would have come out ahead! This is a scam!
