Gorgeous location with a decent uphill drive. Parking lot at top of mountain. A children's park next to ranger Station. Bathrooms are clean and easy to find. Hiking trail maps are provided near the wooden bulletin board. Wonderful views that stretch across the sky. Feels like your on top of the world. Set your own pace while hiking because it's easier going downhill, rougher going back up. Expect to arrive a little earlier than 7pm if your gonna take photos because it gets very popular later in the day. Perfect for sunsets 🌇

Trail is wide in most sections and has dedicated path thru some small neighborhoods. Not much shade (it’s San Diego area) and there are good bathrooms at both top and bottom. View from topmost top is a good 360 of the area and if you are lucky - breezy - step over wood trail erosion control - they are slippery which led to a fall in my group

Plenty of parking for what we did. Drove all the way up then went on a walk for the fabulous views. Even on a cold, cloudy day. Enjoyed the observation point with the telescope though clouds denied us great views.

Love love this park.

The view is the one of the best in San Diego county. 360 degree. On a clear day you can see most of the islands, Arizona mountains, Mexico, all of Orange County…and the the ocean of course.

Hiking options are great. Lots of choices.

But if you simply wanna catch sunset or have a nice picnic, drive up and park. It’s about 20-30 steps from the parking lot.

Restrooms are near the rangers house below the top.

I love coming up here for the view and the Starwalk event. It's very nice to be able to learn and admire nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is a good amount of parking and the park overall is kept very neat and clean.
