Tom Shockcor says he doesn’t follow Denver county rules because he makes his own! He was ordered to fix an apartment within 30 days and instead asked for an extension to kick the tenant out for holding him accountable. Not only did he lie to the health inspector but he hasn’t even attempted to speak with the resident to set dates on repairs. If anyone else has been negatively impacted by his company now is the time to speak up. In case Tom decides to comment (lie) here is proof that he retaliates if you stand up for your self.

Got charged late fees because I paid rent the month it was due. Had to get cashiers check on top of added fees. Also they will take over a month to fix anything. Does that stop them from doing construction on a Friday night though? Absolutely not.

Avoid Shockcor at All Costs: Horrible Management and Unsafe Living Conditions

I had one of the worst living experiences with Shockcor Property Management in Denver, and I feel compelled to warn potential tenants about their negligent practices and unprofessional behavior.

Firstly, Shockcor's lack of responsiveness is appalling. They fail to address maintenance issues in a timely manner, if at all. Throughout my tenancy, I faced severe maintenance problems, including mold and roaches in the property. Tamera was especially unhelpful and dismissive, exacerbating an already difficult situation.

One of the most distressing incidents involved mold in the property. Despite clear evidence, Shockcor refused to acknowledge the issue and instead kicked me out, claiming the apartment was unlivable without admitting the presence of mold. This negligence led to the death of my one-year-old cat, who developed a tumor in his lung due to the mold exposure.

Additionally, I experienced harassment from another tenant who followed me outside, buzzed my door multiple times a week, and constantly threatened me. Despite my numerous reports to Shockcor, they failed to take the situation seriously or provide any support.

Shockcor also randomly charged me for mattress removal without any explanation, adding to the frustration and financial burden caused by their poor management.

The final straw was when a leak in my bathroom ceiling exposed a significant mold problem. Rather than addressing the issue, Shockcor evicted me, leaving me without a home and refusing to admit the dangerous living conditions. I had the mold tested independently, confirming my suspicions, but Shockcor remained ignorant and uncooperative.

Living under Shockcor’s management severely impacted my well-being and safety. My attempts to resolve these issues were consistently met with ignorance and dismissiveness.

I strongly urge anyone considering renting from Shockcor to look elsewhere. Their properties are unsafe, and their management, especially Tamera, is unprofessional and negligent. Save yourself the stress and avoid Shockcor at all costs.

I have owned a property managed by Shockor since July 2020 and I have found dealing with this organization to be an incredibly frustrating experience. Numerous maintenance requests are ignored or marked complete with no action. My primary concern is a blatant disregard they show for resident welfare with continuous failures of heat during below zero winter periods and lack of cooling during extreme heat conditions. Despite assessments and dues increases to residents, these issues go unresolved and communicated timelines to address are rarely met. These serious safety concerns have been ongoing since I have owned the property. The risk to safety is above all concerns, but I also am concerned about the value of my investment given the very poor management of homeowner assets.

Tamera has been such a gem helping me to have a beautiful and lovely apartment in Lafayette Gardens not once but twice! She even hooked me up with a parking spot. I enjoy seeing her around the complex, she’s a very attentive property manager. Thanks so much! Best renting experience ever!

Tamera was absolutely amazing. Very responsive when it came just inquiring about a listing. Then was super accommodating at getting my leasing process completed and super friendly. I enjoyed the straight forward attitude and how she was explained the whole leasing process. Got me into the apartment I really wanted in about a week from the day I called and everything. I can’t say more about just how pleasant the whole process has been and how nice the property is. Thank you for everything!!!

Contacted Tamera about a horrific wasp infestation at one the properties my apartment backs up too. (I'm not a tenant of Shockcor) never even responded. Highly recommend avoiding any property managed by this group.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Barely habitable. Never dealt with any repairs. Radiator stayed on constantly making us have to adjust temp with open windows. No security. Homeless people lived in storage area and mail boxes were constantly broken into. Several rooms had no functioning electrical outlets. I have dozens of requests for repairs we kept that were never tended.
Manager (Jeff) lied and told us a story about an HVAC company that wouldn’t return because I was angry they arrived at 8pm. I knew the owner (HVAC company) and he shared that none of the managers story held any truth. Tell ANYONE you know to avoid this company at all costs!
