Rats for the past 6months property management does nothing call corporate office and the regional manager is married to one of the leasing consultants so therefore they do nothing about it except for “Inspect” the area and close out the order. No pest control called

I'm the Housing Coordinator for our organization. We manage about 120 apartments here in Anaheim, Long Beach, and surrounding area. We already had an apartment at Sycamore Canyon for a long time. We pay early and are no doubt the most wealthy of any tenant they have. When we tried to open another apartment there, now managed by Western National Property Management. Because of this new management, it became a nightmare. We open it on a Corporate basis, not individual basis. However, they are geared totally to individual, and the policies that Western have put in place. Because of those new policies, they would not accept a check to move in, blaming it on FEHA. I have checked that, and found FEHA does NOT prohibit accepting a check to move in. Other policy problems are requiring those living there, well after we have moved in, to fill out an "Application to Rent", which on a Corporate rent is ridiculous and a huge waste of time. Too many other ridiculous issues, all based on POLICY, to list here. Western takes the shortest, easiest way out.

I was informed by Eastown Los Angeles management they my affordable housing application would not be processed and the corporate office would hold onto all of my personal application information for 7 years. This is illegal. I would like the company to reach out to me prior to me taking legal action.

I recently moved into Sablewood Gardens in Bakersfield and this company has been incredibly professional from the beginning. In these reviews it always seems like you hear about all the bad and never the good. I absolutely love my new apartment and maintenance did a great job preparing it for move-in.

Anytime I have a question they have always got back in touch with me.

I have rented quite a few apartments over the years and I’m impressed with the whole experience. The units are modern and nice!

They keep the grounds clean and have great communication with the residents.

Don’t let the negative reviews keep you from renting because I have not experienced anything that these negative reviews are pointing out.

I reached out to them about an issue I had with one of their properties and they never responded back to me. Birchwood village apartments took almost all my deposit after I lived there for over 5 years, blaming it on my dog, which he did not do anything to damage to the old apartment I lived in and they charged me a cleaning fee, which I left my apartment better than it was when I moved in. They took $1100 out of my $1300 deposit.

Do not move into any property managed by these morons. Regarding an experience as a tenant of El Centro Apartments & Bungalows in Los Angeles. Fraudulent property management company attempting to send a bogus charge to collections for floor marks they claim were caused by us but were in fact present prior to our move-in. Luckily for us, we have video of our unit tour with the leasing manager. In that video, the marks they are referring to are clearly visible. After giving them evidence of this, "upper management" said the marks are darker in their photos. Our evidence is video still and screenshots, not close-up photos, so of course it may seem as if they are darker. A poor attempt at trying to collection charges. Fraud at it's finest. We have filed small claims suit against the company as well as complaints with the state and city.

THIS COMPANY COMMITS FRAUD!!! Do not lease an apartment from them. They withold pertinent information (like noise issues) prior to you signing the lease. They also misrepresent their move in specials and do not disclose the true value of them until after you move in. I spoke with Kim at the head office and she was very rude, spoke over me and then hung up abruptly. File a complaint with the California Department of Real Estate with their license number #00838846
