We recently had to terminate our services with a different property management company (and associates) in Santa Maria who had managed our rental property. I interviewed Tami at Advantage Property Management and knew immediately I would be in good hands. The service we have received has exceeded our expectations. She went above and beyond while the property was in construction. She helped me with getting contractors to the house and ensured the job was done correctly. She's managed the property so well and has taken the headache out of being a property owner. I highly recommend their services, they are the best in the area. I'm so glad I found them and so glad I switched companies.

I'm very upset with advantage property managment. I applied for a property on friday [484 E. Battles in Santa maria]
I called monday and ask if everything in my application was on point and correct. They stated yes and we're just waiting on the owner to respond to them. I called again on tues to see if they had heard something from the owner they said no. On tuesday afternoon I called again and a woman said the owner had not chosen me and chose someone else. That she had called me to notify me, yet I had no missed calls. But all Tuesday I was wondering why I wasent chosen my husband alone has been in the same job 5 years and makes the rent plus my income and we both have good credit no evictions. We put down 2 references and previous people we've rented from. So I decided to call my references and current and past landlord whom all said they never received a call as I also didn't. I also decided to check with experian , equifax, and Trans union, to see if a new inquiry was added to my report, turns out nothing was added. I kind of got suspicious. So I check my husband's phone he didn't have any missed calls ither. So today Wednesday I called and they left me on hold for 8 minutes. Only to tell me I had not payed the application fee. , which I had! And double checked with them on monday. All they said was that's weird. I then reminded them that I had payed the 50$ application fee in person with money order. Which they now remembered. They said it's right here you can pick it up. I honestly feel cheated out of this rental I wasent given the opportunity for the landlord to even see my application. No one offered an apology to ither myself on the phone or when my husband went to pick up the money order in person. To any possible tenants out there I would say stay clean and clear from this company, and to any possible landlords looking to rent your units stay clear. I honestly recommend bartlein and Co. Near fesler and Broadway & silveria properties for your property managment needs they actually care about there tenants and prospective tenants which in return you'll have great full tenants.

EDIT FOR JACK ROSSI: it has been a couple years but i want to update the fact that i wasent upset that i didnt get picked. I was upset that they tried to say i wasent picked and they ran my credit and checked references. Than called me to tell me i wasent picked. Im almost 100% sure that the owner did not see my application and that they tried to keep my application money. Because they did not run my credit i checked all 3 credit bureaus they did not call me or my husband. They also did not call any of my referenences so the bad review is not for not getting picked, but for trying to keep my money without actually running my application... also notice how they respond to most negative comments but mine. They knew what they were doing scammers. My husband is a field worker and im pretty sure we were stereotyped and put in a category of we wont even check anything and Just say they werent approved. But they were wrong when i hit them with the facts that the credit was not checked references haddent been called theyre like oh yeah we found your money order you can come pick it up. CROOKS wouldnt be the 1st time with property managment companies in santa maria

I HIGHLY recommend Advantage Property Management!! Tami and Jenn run a very professional business. They are attentive, warm, and always friendly. Mom and I felt like we were moving into a home and not renting a house. They let us be a part of decision making and heard our inputs on paint, yard landscaping ideas and looked into possible improvements for us with the owner. When things needed to be fixed they were right on it with their contractors, who are very nice and professional as well. Mom and I couldn’t have asked for a better rental relationship then what we have with Tami and Jenn – these ladies are the best!!!!!

We rented A house from this company for 3 1/2 years. Very responsive to all your concerns or needs. Quick to respond as well. Renting with them was very simple and they know their stuff. Walk-through went well even with difficult owner because of Tamis professionalism. (Highly recommend working with her) If we ever move back to the area we will be renting from them again.
