We were looking for a realtor to help us purchase a home on the Central Coast and weren’t sure who to choose. We tend to buy homes under market value and fix them up but prices are high on the coast. We needed a realtor who would be willing to negotiate. I searched Recently Sold properties in Cambria and came across a home that sold for $400,000. Seeing the selling agent was Ted, I gave him a call. We instantly hit it off and there began our whirlwind journey with he and his wife Ammie.
He created schedules of showings based on properties we wanted to see and isn’t afraid to call other agents to gain intel or write up offers knowing they might not be readily accepted. After one offer was not accepted, we found another house and put in an over asking offer before seeing it. It was accepted and after we saw it, we started the inspection process. A few big ticket items popped up and Ted suggested we write a request for repairs which we did. After some negotiation, we landed back at the asking price which was close to $50,000 less than we offered.
Since the close of escrow Ted has helped us find people to make the necessary repairs.
I can’t say enough good things about he and Ammie. They are friendly and helpful and don’t give off that pressure filled vibe a lot of agents have. Even though he’s laid back, he always picks up the phone and is well organized and professional. I’m very thankful he represented us and he will continue to do so if the need arises.
