I would not even give this place a star because the Management at California Manor does the very minimum they are required to do. Repairs are not kept up.
They get away with providing apartments that are below normal standards. For example, carpet has wear that is so worn out that it is showing tac strips and can be painful to walk on. They don’t always provide new carpet to residents at move-in.
Two friends who are also residents did not have hot water in the shower (for over a year) until I intervened. We sent multiple repair requests and finally they had HOT WATER! My 2 friends gave up trying after nothing changed.
There are residents who are needing repairs after living here for over 8 years. California Renter’s Policies do not require fresh paint, or repairs to carpets.

So, It is a place that is affordable for disabled and low income seniors.
If at all possible choose a place that is active and responsive to renter’s concerns.
Best thing to say is : PET FRIENDLY, but no place provided to do their business. Signs say: STAY OFF THE GRASS
