Im more than satisfied with the job done by Andrew and his crew. If there was a delay in work, it was my fault because i insisted on ordering supplies myself in the pursuit to save money. I had an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) custom built in San Diego by 1st Choice Development. Huge success, as the final result was exactly how I pictured it, and had a flood of rental applications as soon as it was ready. Worked mostly with Tony Holder with the project coordination, and he was very open and let me communicate any specific details to his employees and subcontractors as needed. Stuff always comes up in construction, especially when it's a big project... But they were always accommodating with my build details to increase quality and have a nicer finish, as long as I covered any material overages that were not part of the drawings/agreement. I think it's always worth it to invest in quality and I was glad to find a contractor that was onboard to do those things, even if it's a little different than the 'standard'. I have worked with a lot of stubborn and naive contractors that think they know everything, and don't want to change any of their ways and don't want to do anything different than what they always do. Not the case with Tony on my ADU build, and that made a huge difference in experience and outcome. Zero change order upcharges. Already planning my next ADU build with them on an investment property. Highly recommend.

Tony and all of his staff at first choice did an incredible job assisting me and my parents building an additional dwelling unit. I initially started with a different contractor but after multiple headaches i finally fired them and reached out to tony and his staff. Needless to say there was a night and day difference from day one. Tony and staff were extremely responsive with all my questions. The turn time was amazing i couldn't believe how quick we were able to get the whole house built. His price was extremely competitive and it never changed from day one. they made everything so painless and it was a complete hands off process for me. The quality of the work was top notch. I was building a house for my parents and they couldn't be happier with how it turned out. They truly made it into a home they will spend there rest of their days in. I will be going to first choice for all my construction needs in the future and would recommend everyone do the same.

Thank god I found this company! 1st Choice Solar is the way to go. I spent months looking for the right company to do my solar and some remodeling around my house. My issue was that I had a hard time trusting any of these companies because of my experiences in the past. Tony helped me out and gave me peace of mind. He was very detailed and informative. He gave me everything I asked for. He was upfront about everything and didn't screw me over with any hidden fees. He did what he promised and some more. I definitely will be coming back to Tony for any more home remodeling. As for my solar, It's working great and it didn't do any damage to my roof, which I was worried about. Tony and his team walked me through the entire process and well educated me about my solar and how it works. Extremely reliable contractor. We had solar i stalled years ago and every time I reach out to Tony for a question on the system, he is extremely responsive. He takes customer service to a new level. Even when there was a power outage that caused an issue, he was responsive and helped get it fixed, even years later!
